Dear Parents and Students,
I hope everyone had a healthy and restful summer. My name is Mrs. Weston and I will be teaching 6th grade Honors and Regular English, and 6th grade Honors and Regular Social Studies. I will also be teaching a cooking class and a reading intervention class. I am looking forward to participating in an invigorating academic experience with your children this year. In 16 years of teaching middle school , I have developed a wide range of experience. This experience includes special education, reading intervention, ESL, 6th grade English, History and years spent teaching night classes at a California Youth Correctional Facililty . I 'm looking forward to using my teaching experience to give your children a positive, challenging and exciting learning environment this coming school year. You will be receiving class syllabi that describe my teaching techniques, classroom management/ discipline, grading points/ policies and the curriculum that I will be using this year. This semester we will be using a grading program called Snapgrades. I will be sending you a username and password to access your child's grades and assignments. Until classes settle down you can find your child's homework assignments on this website. I look forward to meeting all of you and can't wait to start the 2009-2010 school year with my new students. .
